Q: Do I have to activate all my twitter profiles right away? I only have 1 twitter account at the moment but plan to create more.

A: You can enter your twitter accounts whenever you are ready. If you purchased 5 licenses, the software will have 5 credits shown. When you log in with 1 account, the software will show you have 4 licenses available to be entered. These can be entered at anytime and will remain available to you until you choose to use them.

Q: How do I move the data file to a new computer?

In Windows XP the location is:
C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\TweetAdder

In Windows Vista the location is:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Application Data\Roaming\TweetAdder

You might need to go “Folder Options” in the control panel and select “Show hidden files and folders” in order to be able to see the files.

You can make a backup of this file, or copy this file to the same location of your other computer. The file can also be moved from Windows to Mac or vice versa. TweetAdder is the database name. There is no extension. Tweet-Adder-journal is a temporary file. Make sure the program is closed before trying to copy the database.

Q: How do I log into an individual profile?

A: To log into to an individual profile you need to highlight the name by clicking it, then select log in

Q: I am unable to login as it says the username/password is incorrect.

A: You must make sure you have entered the username in the second verification field as well. There are 2 username fields to ensure your username was entered properly in the login screen.

Q: How do I change my twitter password in the program?A: If you changed your password, you will need to delete the current user in the program using the “Edit Users” link on the login screen of the program. Then delete. Then highlight the username in the window of the program and hit the “Remove” button.

Once you have done this, re-add the user with the correct twitter password

Q: How do I set Automation for multiple profiles?

A: Select the check boxes beside the accounts you wish to be active in the automation. The automation settings for each account will apply to the corresponding account.

Q: The program is stopping when attempting to auto follow people and stating Max Limit Reached?

A: These means one of 2 things.

1. The software stopped at YOUR preset daily max to send in the day, found on the Auto Follow Tab settings.

2: The message that says “Follow Limit Reached” means that you have followed the maximum number of users that Twitter will currently allow you to follow (generally for a 24 hour time period). Twitter will allow you to follow up to 1000 users in a single day, but they sometimes restrict you to less than that. If you are approaching 2000 followers, twitter will not let you follow more than 2000 users until 2000 are following you. To get around this, you will need to unfollow users to free up slots so you can add more, and then follow other people that you think will follow you back. Twitter also can limit you based on your following to follower ratio. This kicks in after you pass the 2000 barrier. Tweet Adder auto detects this limit and will immediately stop following once a limit is reached.

Q: I am getting the error “SQL Logic Error”A: Try deleting the database, and letting the software re-create it. It is located at:

Q: Why is my “Database Locked”?A: The database locked error generally means that a different instance of the program is currently writing to the database, so it is currently unavailable.

Q: I keep getting “Verifying User Credentials” and the software wont log in.

A: First verify that Twitter is still up and running.  If twitter is up, then attempt to hit the refresh button.  If after a few attempts of the refresh you still have the same issue, it is usually Norton Security/Security Software or Firewall that has blocked the program from accessing the Internet that causes this. Check these programs to allow access of the software to the internet.

You can also try removing the account from the log in window, and adding it again in case it is a password issue or something. You can hit “Edit Activated User” on the main login screen to do this.

Q: I get an “Exception Out of Bounds” Error Message. What do I do?

A: Deleting and re-adding the twitter account that causes the error usually will correct this.

You can do this by hitting “edit user” on the login page, then delete. Then highlight the profile name in the login screen and hit remove. Once you have done this re-add the profile.

Q: I am currently using another service. I would like to find an application that will tweet all of my saved tweets once before publishing them a second time. To do so in the other service one needs to apply very complicated mathematics. Does your program offer a simpler way to do this?

A: Yes, Tweet Adder can do this. Simply load the list into Tweet Adder, and as they are all tweeted, they are removed from the list. You can load the list again, once it is empty, or you can load the list into tweet adder multiple times so that it can run longer without needing intervention.

Q: I try to unfollow it says “no more Ids to unfollow”

A: The message that says “No more ids to unfollow” means just that, with the current settings you have set, there is nobody to unfollow. If you have the checkbox that says “wait X days before unfollowing” checked, you can decrease the number of days, or you can uncheck it all together. We recommend setting it for 1 day to give time for your new follows to convert to follow backs. If you want to unfollow everyone that is not following you back, you can uncheck the box that says “Only unfollow users that were followed using Tweet Adder”.

If you are attempting to unfollow all users who do not follow you back, please note tweetadder only will unfollow those you actually followed with the program in this setting, not people you already followed prior to using the program.

Q: Can I put the program on my desktop and notebook as well?

A: The software can be put on as many computers as you like, but it is recommended to mainly use it from one computer in order to get the most out of it. For example, stats would be incorrect, and (depending on your unfollow settings)you may not be able unfollow users on your laptop that were followed using your desktop, or vice versa as the database of prior actions is stored on your local system. We will be releasing a future version to sync the data online with our servers for your accounts.

Q: How long do i get updates?

A: We provide free updates for life.

Q: I am trying to follow another profile’s followers and the program times out or says invalid user.A: We don’t recommend trying to add followers of profiles that are over 20,000.

Please note the program has to index every single id into your database file to then submit of which will cause it to crash due to overload.

In addition, this is a shot gun blast effect as doing this will not get you targeted followers and may end up in you getting hit with a lot of people blocking your profile..

Q: I noticed if I leave my program open while running automation my system resources drop due to the program taking up 75% of the system resources, what do I need to do?A: It seems to consume excess CPU cycles when the GUI is visible, if you hide/minimize the application then CPU usage returns to under 1%
